Five events, one coherent wardrobe

Most grooms plan each outfit in isolation and end up with a week of looks that don’t belong together — two near-identical sherwanis, a colour that fights the decor, a fabric that is wrong for the season. We plan them as a set, so the photographs read as one wedding.

01 / 05

Engagement

The first formal look of the wedding, and the one most guests photograph. Polished and modern, with room to go bolder later in the week.

OutfitTailored suit, three-piece or a structured bandhgala.
Colour & fabricMid-tones — navy, bottle green, wine. Wool, wool-silk or a fine blend.
FinishingPocket square, slim watch, lapel pin.
FootwearDouble monk straps or wholecut oxfords in brown or oxblood.
02 / 05

Haldi & Mehendi

Daytime, outdoors and messy. Light, breathable clothes you can sit on the floor in and not worry about.

OutfitCotton or linen kurta set, short kurta with a jacket for mehendi.
Colour & fabricYellow, ivory, sage or pastel. Cotton, mulmul, linen — nothing that stains badly.
FinishingMinimal — a bracelet, a light stole, sunglasses.
FootwearLeather slippers, kolhapuris or soft suede loafers.
03 / 05

Sangeet & Cocktail

The evening you dance. Texture and shine work here, and comfort matters for a long night on your feet.

OutfitVelvet tuxedo, embroidered jacket or indo-western set.
Colour & fabricDeep tones — black, midnight, emerald, burgundy. Velvet, jacquard, raw silk.
FinishingBow tie or brooch, statement watch, slim cummerbund.
FootwearVelvet or patent leather loafers.
04 / 05

Wedding

The main look, and the one that has to sit beside the bride in every photograph. Everything else in the week is planned around it.

OutfitSherwani with churidar, safa and stole — or an achkan for a lighter silhouette.
Colour & fabricIvory, gold, pastel or a deep jewel tone. Silk, raw silk or brocade with hand work.
FinishingSafa, stole, mala, kalgi, brooch.
FootwearEmbroidered juttis or mojaris matched to the sherwani work.
05 / 05

Reception

Formal, indoors and photographed from every angle. Clean lines, dark tones, very little noise.

OutfitTuxedo, three-piece suit or a dark bandhgala.
Colour & fabricBlack, midnight blue or charcoal. Wool, wool-mohair, satin lapel.
FinishingCufflinks, pocket square, dress watch.
FootwearBlack patent oxfords or polished wholecuts.
On the call

What the call is for

A stylist holding fabric against a groom’s shoulder beside swatches and notes
01

A look for every function

Engagement, haldi, mehendi, sangeet, cocktail, wedding, reception — each one gets its own outfit, planned so no two looks repeat.

02

Colour & fabric direction

A palette that works with your skin tone, the bride’s outfits and the decor — and fabrics that suit the season, the venue and the hours you’ll be in them.

03

Silhouette & fit

What length, structure and cut actually flatter your build — and the alteration notes to hand your tailor so it fits on the day.

04

Accessories & footwear

Safa, stole, brooch, watch and pocket square — then the shoes to finish each outfit, chosen so nothing competes with the look.

05

A written plan

You leave with a shortlist of what to buy, what to pair and what you already own that works — all within your budget.

The wardrobe guide

How each outfit is finished

An outfit is a sherwani or a suit plus everything around it. Here is the short version of what we settle on the call — your stylist refines it for your colours, your build and your functions.

SherwaniSafa in a contrasting tone, stole, mala and kalgi — then juttis or mojaris picked up from the sherwani embroidery.
BandhgalaSilk pocket square, a slim dress watch, optional brooch — with monk straps or plain-toe oxfords in brown or black.
TuxedoBlack bow tie, cufflinks, satin-faced lapel left uncluttered — with patent oxfords or velvet loafers.
SuitTie or pocket square, never both loud; belt matched to the leather — with oxfords, or suede loafers for daytime.
Indo-westernClean shoulders, minimal jewellery, one textured layer — with loafers or Chelsea boots.
Kurta setA light stole, a single bracelet, rolled sleeves for daytime — with juttis, kolhapuris or leather slippers.

Questions

Before you book

Usually 30 to 45 minutes, depending on how many functions you have and how many outfit questions you bring.

Online, by phone or WhatsApp, so you can book from any city. If you are in Delhi you can follow up in person at our Shahpur Jat showroom.

Yes — engagement, roka, haldi, mehendi, sangeet, cocktail, wedding, reception and any other pre-wedding events. Every function gets its own look.

No. We plan the whole wedding wardrobe regardless of where you have it made or bought — your local tailor, a designer, or something you already own. Footwear is the one thing we make ourselves, so if a pair fits the plan your stylist will show it to you. There is no obligation.

Yes. Tell us the number on the call. Most of the value is in spending it in the right places and not on a fifth outfit you will wear for an hour.

You will be asked to share your wedding details — functions, dates, venues and budget — and we will confirm your call slot on WhatsApp.
